Urban Infrastructure
SpotFinder
BuildingA mobile-first parking app for the streets and garages we actually drive to.
The vision
Parking is a solved problem in theory and a catastrophe in practice. SpotFinder is the app that finally treats parking as four problems — street, garage, private-spot, and sign confusion — and tackles all four in one place.
The problem
The parking apps that exist either show only garages, only metered street, or only one kind of private spot — and none of them explain the parking signs that govern half of urban driving.
The approach
One app, four pillars: crowdsourced real-time street availability; one-tap garage booking; a peer-to-peer private-spot marketplace; and an AI camera you point at any parking sign for an instant plain-language read of who can park there, when, and for how long.
Inside SpotFinder
The capabilities we're building.
Real-time street availability
Crowdsourced from drivers leaving spots, with predictive availability for the next few minutes.
Garage booking
Compare nearby garages, see live pricing, book in one tap.
Private-spot marketplace
Homeowners and landlords list unused driveways, lots, and curb spots. Drivers book by the hour or month.
AI sign explainer
Point your camera at any parking sign; SpotFinder reads the regulation in plain English in seconds.
